The Rock Engraving Park in Grosio was created in 1978 to display to its best advantage the rich archaeological, historic, architectural and landscape patrimony of the "Dosso dei Castelli" (Castle Hill), dominated by the imposing ruins of the Old Castle of S. Faustino (X - XI century) and the New Visconti Castle (XIV century), beside which the Rupe Magna lies, a large rock containing more than 5000 engraved figures (IV - I millennium B.C.).
